Adoption of innovative, inclusive, and sustainable business models to enhance fish farmers’ roles in the aquaculture value chain, boost their prosperity, improve rural environmental values, create jobs and promote the sustainable use of ponds.
Best practices
The use case will develop an inclusive, sustainable business model for pond aquaculture using environmentally friendly production technology. It will provide best practices for the pond product value chain, foster community-driven business models, and introduce social innovations to valorise pond ecosystem services.
The innovative business model can be integrated in other cases where aquaculture production is involved. Valorisation of ecosystem services can be adopted in ecological agriculture-related cases.
